People Actually Live in Vegas? We know it's hard to believe. People living in the town everyone dreams about visiting. But, yes, we're here, and approximately 5000 new people move in each month. (About 2000 also move out each month.) So, you ask, why Vegas? Well, there are things to do, links to explore, and sun to soak up. Sun, Sun and More Sun If you were to ask random people on the street, most would comment they moved here for the sun. Vegas has more than 300 sunny days per year. Yes, you say, sun is nice, but aren't summer temperatures 100 degrees or more? Yes, summers here can be hot, but the heat also brings annual monsoon rains in July and August. Residents simply step outside to cool down and watch magnificent lightening shows around the valley. And remember, its dry heat. So when it's 100 degrees outside, it feels like 100 degrees. So why did the rest of those random people on the street move here? Simple, mild winters. Sure it gets cold. Overnight temperatures can range from 30-40 degrees. Occasionally, we have mornings where temps fall into the teens. (OK, those of you who live farther north, quit laughing. It's cold for us!) Otherwise, winters are mild. Daytime temperatures can get up into the high 70s. Ahhh, this is why we endure the hot summers! Hook Me Up Just visiting? Just moved here? Just want more information? We've got the links for you.
