UNLV Professional Writing Certificate Program

The Southern Nevada STC chapter actively supports the UNLV Professional Writing Certificate Program. UNLV's Certificate in Professional Writing is a six-course (18 cr.) English Department program open to all majors and working professionals. The program strengthens workplace written communication skills or prepares participants for a career as a professional writer.

Libby Craver, a So. NV chapter member, received the first certificate from this program in May 2004. Since then the program has continued to grow. In the 2007-2006 academic year, the department added two additional full-time faculty members to support the program. Dr. Jablonski, the Program Director, is also creating an online version of the program for working professional and out-of-state students.
