Called to Communicate career ka-'rir noun: a profession for which one trains and which is undertaken as a permanent calling. Whether you were called to or just happened to land a career as a technical communicator, here you are, everyday, communicating. Some days it goes well. Other days, not so well. But ultimately we like what we do (or we wouldn't be here, right?). Our chapter sees career development is a life-long process. Whether you are job searching or have the "perfect" job, strategically planning your short and long-term career goals will ensure you are successful now as well as in the future. Current Job Openings Our chapter is using a blog on Blogger to post references to positions that our members are aware of. STC members also have full access to the STC Career Center hosted by the national STC website. Important - STC does not recommend people for jobs, recruit applicants for employers, or determine if a position offering is legitimate. Recruiting Agencies There are a number of reputable recruiting agencies that help writers find that perfect position.
